2 oz Dickel Rye
1⁄2 oz Benedictine liqueur
1⁄2 oz Contratto Sweet Vermouth
1⁄2 teaspoon Demerara sugar simple syrup
3 dashes of Angostura bitters. 

Mix the first 4 ingredients into a large mixing cocktail glass full of ice, stir 40 times, add bitters, & strain. Garnish with a split vanilla bean, but the vanilla is purely for aromatic purposes! Sip slowly & enjoy!

  1. After adding the bitters, stir a couple of times and then strain into a chilled whiskey glass. Remember the Vanilla Bean is purely for aromatic purposes and presentation.
