NEW YORK, NY (March 8, 2013) –67Wine has joined the MS movement in an exclusive partnership with the New York City - Southern New York Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to help create a world free of multiple sclerosis.
“We are very pleased to have formed this relationship with the National MS Society,” said Bernard Weiser, proprietor of 67Wine.
Since 1941, 67Wine, consistently rated one of the best wine shops in New York, has been a leading destination for fine wine and liquor from around the world.
“The ability to do something to assist the important and vital work being conducted on behalf of the thousands of people living with MS right here, compelled us to create the ‘Buck a Bottle’ campaign,” explained Weiser.
The campaign will begin March 11 during MS Awareness Week and conclude September 30. For every bottle of Avenida, Strasse and Paseo sold, 67Wine will donate a “Buck a Bottle” to support critical research, programs, and services for people affected by MS. In addition, for every bottle of Angels Envy bourbon sold, they will donate $5.
The New York City – Southern New York Chapter of the National MS Society is committed to helping the 10,000 people living with multiple sclerosis in the five boroughs and Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Sullivan counties continue moving their lives forward. The chapter raises funds locally to support the Society’s critical research initiatives and to provide hundreds of comprehensive support services and educational programs for people living with MS, their family and friends.
About the National Multiple Sclerosis Society
MS stops people from moving. The National MS Society exists to make sure it doesn’t. We help each person address the challenges of living with MS. In 2011 alone, through its national office and 50-state network of chapters, the Society devoted $164 million to programs and services that assisted more than one million people. To move us closer to a world free of MS, the Society also invested $40 million to support 325 new and ongoing research projects around the world in 2012. We are people who want to do something about MS now. Join the movement at nationalMSsociety.org
As a leading wine destination since 1941, 67 Wine & Spirits is consistently rated one of the best wine shops in New York. Their collection ranges from 19th century Bordeaux to hot California "cult wines," from mature German dessert wines to the superstars of up-and-coming regions. Over-sized bottles are in abundance, with Champagne and collectible reds both well represented.
