I always want to keep up with the blog, but before I know it, two weeks have passed and I still haven't posted my notes. With that said, here is an older note. It was sitting in my draft folder, waiting for me to add a couple more.

Chateau Les Ormes de Pez St. Estephe 2001 - My New Year's Eve wine. Incredibly good. The cassis fruit is so pure it was like a laser to the taste buds. The fruit was followed by very pretty leather with a little vanilla oak. The finish went on and on. Not really comparable to the 1996 Mouton from Christmas, but it's one tenth the price. Very much in the same style, but lacks the complexity of the Mouton.
