So this months WBW theme is a great one - Back to the Roots. As Brooklynguy mentioned, this wine blogging Wednesday is hosted by by Lenndevours, one of the first and great wine blogs on the net. Plus, its the 4th year Anniversary of WBW! Amazing! So, I got the wine bug four years ago on a trip to Paris (France, of course!) I tasted several great wines, had some amazing meals, and got introduced to Ferrand Congac. My two most memorable wines from this trip were a Red Sancerre and a Red Cheverny, both consumed at the amazing Louis 13th restaurant. Both are often blends of Pinot Noir and Gamay, and are light delicious wines that go well with many types of food. Roots included! A favorite pairing with either wine is a beet, endive and goat cheese salad!
