Lately I've been drinking quite a lot of white - here are some highlights, and a challenge!

The Whites:
Gavi de Gavi Giustiana from Lugarara. This white is crisp, aromatic and great! The nose smelled a little like wild flowers, grapefruit, and stones with a great easy mouth feel- which is slightly frizzante. This is a great summer wine to enjoy outside with light foods!

Xavier Flouret French Blonde Sancerre. A very interesting concept, made by Vincent Chatelain at his domaine (which has been making wine since 1630!). Textbook sancerre with crisp minerality and clean fruit (think mayer lemon), just a great wine to drink- plus the label is very modern and cool!

The Challenge - I would like to challenge you all to find a "Olympics" related wine (as in from China, or otherwise clearly related- family member in the games, gives money to the team you support) and tell me about it!

As always, thanks for reading, and enjoy the drink.
